My Favorite Foundations and Brushes Drugstore & High End

Hey!
Today, I want to talk about my foundation routine. I like to wear makeup everyday! I think that it is really important to invest in good brushes because they make the application of makeup easier and more flawless. I think that drugstore makeup is just as good as high end, you just have to find the products that are actually good. Just for a background on my skin, I have very oily skin, redness, and some acne. I always go for medium to full coverage foundations because I do want to cover my redness and acne. Heres a glimpse of products that I'm going to be talking about:

Benefit Porefessional ($30)
When I wake up, I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, I use purity by philosophy. For me, I don't feel the need to exfoliate in the morning because I usually do that at nighttime along with a mask. I follow with my oil control toner then moisturizer. I do like to prime my face before applying any foundation. I love the "benefit professional". This is really a product I use everyday, and haven't found an equivalent one from the drugstore. Primer is a good base for your foundation to apply smoother and last all day.
Then, I dot foundation on my face and blend in with my favorite brush which is the Sigma Flattop or  whatever is clean! I've used the Real Techniques Buffing Brush before, and it also works well with liquid foundation. It comes in a core collection with a contour brush (I love the contour brush) and 2 others at Ulta for $17.99.

Sephora Mineral Powder #45 ($24), Sigma Flattop Kabuki F80 ($21)
Beauty Blender ($20) on the left is the BB damp and on the right dry

I use my Beauty Blender damp to blend in my concealer, but you can also use it for your foundation for a more natural look.

Some of my favorite foundations from the drugstore are these. These are perfect for everyday use. They are really affordable and look good. I like to get these products at target because they tend to be a couple dollars cheaper than cvs or walgreens. But I would consider buying them there if you have coupons or extra rewards. Cvs/Walgreens usually have deals each week either BOGO or extra bucks/rewards.

Covergirl 3-1 Stay Fabulous ($8-$10), Revlon Colorstay Whipped  ($10-$13), Garnier BB cream shine control ($11-$13)

Then, my favorite high end foundations are these. I use these on my days off of work, girls night, or special occasions. The naked skin is the lightest feeling and I think work for all skin types. Double wear and lock it are for really flawless full coverage and better on oily skin.
Estee Lauder Double Wear ($37), Urban decay Naked Skin ($39), Kat Von D ($34)
After applying foundation, I add concealer to my under eyes or any red spots my foundation didn't cover. You want to set that with powder, so it don't move anywhere. I apply the powder with a fluffy brush, sweeping it all over the face. Then you can go ahead with your bronzer/blush/highligher.

Real Techniques Blush Brush ($8.99)
Currently on BOGO 1/2 off at ulta!
Revlon Nearly Naked ($7-$10) found at target, cvs, walgreens
MUFE Duo Mat Powder ($34), found at sephora!

That's it, you have a flawless face! After applying the rest of your makeup and you feel like you may have added to much blush or bronzer you can use a duo fiber brush to blend it out.

Sonia Kashuk Large Duo Fibre Multipurpose Brush ($12.99)

Maybelline Vivids

Hey ladies,
Ok so you know that I'm a lipstick junkie! I love bright bold lips and these are perfect for that! The maybelline vivids are one of my favorite drugstore lipstick collections! A lot of the colors are similar to some mac lipsticks! My favorites are vivid rose and shocking coral! They apply on the lips smoothly with a full opaque color. Perfect for the warmer months!

Do you ladies own any? Which are your faves?! -Anabelogb

L.A. Girl Cosmetics Glazed Lip Paint

Hey loves,
I found out about these glosses on Instagram, by the way, you should be following me on there,
anabelogb. When I first saw them, I instantly thought about the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks, which I already love. Each of these glazed glosses are ($4), compared to the Too Faced ($21), I thought it would be worth a shot to test them out!

Top to Bottom: Pin-up, Coy, Blushing, Bombshell, Babydoll, Hot Mess
Too faced on the left and La Girl on the right
you can definitely see the similar packaging

Besides the packaging, these are far from being alike. Too faced's formula is a lot easier to work with. They are easy to apply, while the la girls' formula is pretty messy. I do like the la girl glosses though, I was pleasantly surprised. They are really pigmented and shiny. I think they are a great buy for the money. If you think about it on the money standpoint, you can basically get all 6 glosses for the price of one melted liquid lipstick. The melted lipsticks dry on your lips, making it more of a stain than a gloss. I don't think these two products are comparable at all. I love them both for what they are claiming to do.
top to bottom: Hot Mess, Babydoll, Bombshell, Blushing, Coy, Pin-up

you can see how glossy these are.

My faves are bombshell and pin-up

top colors are too faced, bottom colors are la girl
When I tried coy on, I immediately thought about Dose of Colors in Purple Fusion. Purple fusion is a little bit darker, but they swatches very similar!

Too faced melted lipsticks are available at Toofaced.com, Sephora, Ulta
La girl glazed lip paints are available at lagirlusa.com

It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette

Hey!
I have here the it cosmetics eyeshadow palette, named naturally pretty. I've been eyeing this palette, but kept telling myself I didn't need it. I was originally going to use my 20% off at ulta to get it, but then I seen it cosmetics had a 25% off, so I immediately ordered it.  You can still get this on itcosmetics.com until tomorrow April 8th for $31 with promo code :celebrate! Originally $42.

All the colors are matte then the bottom larger shade is called the transformer shade. With this shade you can change the finish of the shadow. You can place this color under or over any color and it will make it look shimmery or tone down the shadow!

The shadows are so creamy and easy to blend. They are a little powdery because they are so soft!

Top Row

Bottom row

On the left I have the eyeshadows on their own, then on the right I added the transformer color on top. I don't really notice a difference. Personally I like matte colors, so I would use the transformer shade as a brow bone highlight or inner corner shade!

It's a great deal ladies!

Limecrime Lipsticks

Hey lipstick junkies,

I love limecrime! They have really cute packaging, as you can see. Who doesn't love purple and unicorns all in one?? They are super pigmented and creamy. They remind me of mac lipsticks, but way more unique colors! They are around the same price range as mac too. You can purchase directly for limecrime.com or at urbanoutfitters.com!

Ladies, you need these in your life!

I think there is missing a good transition shade to blend everything, but you can use any brown you already have in another palette!

YSL Lipstick

Hey Lipstick Junkies,

YSL has the most beautiful packaging of life. Yes these babies are on the pricy side, but they are worth it! I would take advantage of the 15 percent off sale going on at sephora now until April 11th to try one of these lippies. The lipstick itself is so creamy and packs a lot of color. They are easy to work with, you don't need a lip liner or gloss over it, its perfect on its own! I use my sparingly on special occasions, they are so luxurious! In total I own 4, I think I have a good range of colors, nude-y pink, peachy, purple, and deep red. Well I'm missing a bright pink one, maybe that will be my next one, eeeek!

#12 Forbidden Burgundy, #19 Fuchsia in Rage, #13 Peach Passion, #1 Nude Beige
Do you own any or which ones are on your wishlist ?
